- Cupples II Hall closed for one year. Cupples II Hall on the Danforth Campus closed Aug. 27 and will not reopen until Aug. 26, 2011. Both the interior and exterior of the building are undergoing renovation. Cupples II will be completely closed to public access during this time.

- Women’s golf ranked 17th nationally. Fresh off its first appearance in the NCAA tournament, the women’s golf team is ranked No. 17 overall in the Golf World/National Golf Coaches Association Division III preseason top 25 poll. Third-year head coach Sean Curtis guided the Bears to a 19th-place finish at the 2010 NCAA Division III championship last season. The Bears return six letterwinners, including second-team All-America sophomore Hannah Buck.
